Containers and packing

Today a very “special" container will be shipped from Lomé, Togo, to Conakry, Guinea. It is loaded with dockside tents and other supplies. Among many others My Mercy Team and Off Ships Team (me included) worked on loading everything (and a bit more) into them. :)


 A Mercy Team will be on-site to unload it and set up the tents before the ship’s arrival in August. It is the first container to take advantage of a wonderful offer from the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) in Geneva, Switzerland.  MSC offered free Ocean Freight for all of the Africa Mercy’s resupply containers from the U.S. and Holland (European Distribution Center) – a savings of over $100,000 per year!!!!!!

Then the HOPE Center mattresses and other "funny" items got loaded

The 2 big grey packs are the 2 big tents that were standing on the dock.

Finally the frames go in (and somebody took my camera to take this snap of me :) )

We had our own "picture frame" :)

It is DONE! We can close the door! :)
